Resource Details

We consistently hear from rural advocates that they struggle to practice the skills necessary to support sexual assault survivors and that they know there are sexual assault survivors in their community who are not seeking services. Rather than waiting for sexual assault survivors to call or walk in our doors, we can proactively provide outreach to our communities and make sure that everyone knows that we are here to help.

This resource outlines why outreach is so important, where to start, how to provide outreach to marginalized communities, where to do outreach, how to get comfortable conducting outreach, and includes an action plan for strategic outreach.
