Advocating for Victims of Stalking

This webinar was recorded on March 20th, 2019.

Despite the prevalence of stalking—a crime affecting some 6-7.5 million people at some time in their lives—advocates and other allied professions responsible for working with stalking victims may feel hampered by lack of training and resources to address the crime of stalking in a comprehensive manner. This webinar will address common tactics used by perpetrators, identify stalking-specific risk assessment tools to better determine the level of threat to victims, identify the intersection of stalking and sexual violence, and discuss effective safety planning strategies particular to survivors in rural areas. Please join Leah Green from the Resource Sharing Project and Jennifer Landhuis from the Stalking Prevention Awareness & Resource Center (SPARC) to learn more about stalking in rural communities.
