Sexual assault coalitions are responsible for maintaining a high level of ethical and legal standards. These standards come from a variety of institutions, including the Internal Revenue Service, the Office of the Comptroller at the U.S. Department Of Justice, and others. In order to meet the needs of sexual assault crisis centers, survivors, and coalition constituents, its imperative that coalitions meet and / or exceed these standards to help ensure that quality services are provided to coalition constituents and to ensure that public funds are utilized with great care and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
